The Project: AXOR Shenzhen Flagship Store
The AXOR flagship store in Shenzhen presented a unique challenge and opportunity: to create a lighting scheme that would not only showcase exquisite bathroom fittings but also craft an immersive, serene, and deeply luxurious atmosphere reflective of the brand's core values.
Our Collaborative Lighting Philosophy
1. Customized Light as an Extension of "Escape the Ordinary"
AXOR's central tenet, "Escape the Ordinary," demands a lighting solution that is anything but generic. For this project, our deep anti-glare Bulgari downlights were selected for their ability to provide pure, focused illumination without visual intrusion. Specially designed for a seamless 75mm cutout, each fixture is discreetly recessed and framed in a sophisticated matte black finish, complementing the store's high-end, minimalist aesthetic. The result is soft, controlled light that enhances textures and forms, allowing AXOR's products to take center stage in an atmosphere of understated luxury.

2. A Dialogue Between Light and Material
A key focus was enabling light to interact harmoniously with the diverse materials within the space. We designed our lighting to accentuate the inherent beauty of every surface:
a. On the hand-finished metal of an AXOR Citterio faucet, carefully aimed light grazes the surface, highlighting its fluid lines and modern silhouette.
b. Warm, diffused light washes over natural wood accents, deepening the grain and evoking a sense of warmth and comfort.
c. For marble surfaces, precise lighting techniques were employed to showcase the stone's intricate veining and crystalline luminosity, amplifying its inherent elegance.
3. Layered Lighting for Multidimensional Experience
To craft a rich and adaptable spatial journey, we implemented a sophisticated layered lighting design:
General Ambient Lighting: Provided by our recessed downlights, this base layer ensures a uniform, comfortable level of illumination throughout the store.
Accent Lighting: Strategic spotlights and linear fixtures highlight key display areas, such as vanity setups and freestanding bathtubs. This not only defines functional zones but also dramatizes the design details of each AXOR product.
Atmospheric Lighting: Concealed LED strips and subtle integrated lighting create a soft, ambient glow in the evening or within more intimate alcoves. This layer sets a relaxing mood, inviting visitors to linger and envision the products within their own homes.
